BIOGRAPHY

Carlo Carcasci serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Florence, where he also serves as the Head of the Master's Degree Program in Energy Engineering. His research centers on advanced simulation of the hydrogen value chain.

Carlo specializes in pipeline transport analysis and hydrogen blending within natural gas networks, developing sustainable energy scenarios for the decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors using Smart Energy Systems models. He has authored approximately 143 scientific publications, with over 60 in international journals.
